Free week of Mysore 9/17-9/22
Mysore style is a setting where students focus on developing a personal practice using the traditional method of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. The style comes from Mysore, India, and was taught by the teacher Sri K. Pattabhi Jois since the 1930's. Ashtanga yoga involves putting the body through a progressive series of postures while synchronizing the breath. Mysore setting of Ashtanga is an excellent style of yoga to accommodate people of all levels.
In this workshop, Bridgett and Alexia will introduce the students to the first of six sequences of Ashtanga yoga, also known as The Primary Series. The intention is to give the participants the blueprint of the method in order to have a foundation to start and build a daily Mysore practice. A week of Mysore following the workshop is included in the fee.
This is an opportunity for the students to truly experience the essence of the practice.
